Forté Project is thrilled to announce an exciting paid opportunity for aspiring session musicians throughout Wales in collaboration with PPL Giving. In May 2024, three solo MOBO artists will be accompanied by a selection of session musicians and producers to arrange and record a track in a professional studio. 

In May - June 2024, we’re taking on nine aspiring session musicians to collaborate with three Forté solo acts who work in MOBO genres to arrange, rehearse and record a song with a producer in a professional studio setting. Artists and musicians will be paired up with producers and booked for rehearsal and recording in late May / early June 2024.

Could this be you? 

We are looking for aspiring session musicians who are based all over Wales (recording will be held in South and North locations) and have the ability to work and perform in MOBO genres (e.g. R&B, hip-hop, rap, soul).

Eligibility:

  • Aged 18+
  • Have capacity and availability for rehearsals and recording in late May and early June 2024
  • Based in or able to travel to South and North Wales

About PPL:

PPL is the UK’s music licensing company for over 140,000 performers and recording rights holders. PPL collects and distributes money on behalf of performers and record companies for the use of their recorded music. PPL Membership is free and a great opportunity for session musicians to get paid for their performance work.
