Arts and Public Engagement - Patterns, Processes and Levers for Change, March 2008.
This is a study commissioned to develop an understanding of the reasons for a general decline in public engagement in the arts in Wales. It explores the reasons for lower levels of participation in key social groups, including those living in areas characterised by deprivation. It also researches issues that:
- inhibit active engagement with the arts;
- identifies opportunities for broadening access to the arts for all socio-economic groups;
- and provides examples of good practice where broader engagement has been facilitated.
