The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the world’s largest arts festival. For Wales’ performing arts companies it represents a huge opportunity to present work at an internationally significant platform.
The Festival is attended by audiences, programmers, promoters and producers from across the UK and the world. We believe that our performing arts companies should be given the chance to shine in this global context.
Wales in Edinburgh Grants
Only organisations based in Wales can apply for these awards (this funding priority is not open to applications from individuals/creative professionals).
This year will be slightly different from previous years as we will have two levels of grant:
- Grants from £5,001 to £12,000 will be available. We will expect most of the grants that we award to be at this level.
- Larger grants of £12,001 up to £20,000 will also be available. Larger grants will only be awarded to productions that have significant potential for international impact beyond the festival, strongly demonstrated in the application. These could be productions that are under consideration for British Council Showcase and/or productions that have genuine potential for future international touring.
