Arts Council of Wales’ Reach the Heights Successor Programme
Pilot Phase 2
In February 2014, building on the success of Reach the Heights (and inspired by the impact it had on thousands of young people who were not in Education, Employment or Training) and in partnership with Communities First, we launched our new programme Momentum to continue this important journey.
In March 2014, 14 projects received funding and initial findings through our evaluation of the project suggest that it has been successful in its aim to enable young people to gain one or more hard outcomes through an arts intervention.
Arts Council of Wales is now pleased to be able to extend the timescale of this pilot programme to August 2015. It will allow us to further test the effectiveness of our approach to identification, tracking, progression and outcomes. We are interested in offering funding to projects that delivered successful outcomes during the first phase of the pilot and to new projects.
We envisage supporting up to 11 projects in this phase, involving around 150 young people. The intention again is to provide intensive arts interventions for smaller groups of young people.
Funding awards of between £20,000 and £36,000 will be made available to successful projects.
