The All-Wales Arts and Education Programme is designed to build on, and enhance, existing arts activity in Wales’ schools.
The All-Wales Arts and Education Programme enables schools to draw on the knowledge and practice of artists, arts and cultural organisations to improve and complement teaching across the curriculum.
How does the programme work?
The All-Wales Arts and Education Programme is designed to:
- increase and improve opportunities for teachers and learners in our schools to work with artists and arts/cultural/heritage organisations;
- Increase opportunities for young people to experience the work of Wales’s artists and arts/cultural organisations; and
- create more opportunities for communication and partnerships between schools, artists, arts/cultural/heritage organisations and local communities.
The Programme will be delivered in two strands:
- 4 Regional Arts and Educational Networks
- Experiencing The Arts
The Regional Arts and Educational Networks
Four regional networks have been established to share best practice, encourage partnership working, and provide training opportunities for arts and cultural organisations to tailor their offer to meet the needs of schools and the curriculum. Learn more
Experiencing the Arts
This is a Fund that encourages schools to provide children and young people with opportunities to ‘go one step further’ in their exploration of cultural and arts experiences. Learn more about Experiencing the Arts.
