It is our aim to ensure that there are no barriers to access to our offices by disabled staff or visitors. The offices have been designed with independence in mind and it is our intention to provide access for all visitors irrespective of their individual needs.

Access to the office is across level pathways with the front entrance door at pavement level. Wheelchair users and other disabled visitors enter the office using the main entrance door along with all other visitors.
Access to the office is by use of the door intercom system and staff will collect guests who require assistance at the front entrance. Access to the general office and meeting rooms, located on the 1st floor, is by means of a fully compliant electric lift and staff will assist with access and egress if required.
There is a designated Disabled Car Parking space in the car park adjacent to the office accessible directly from Princes Drive. The space must be booked in advance and the visitor’s host will confirm availability when the visit is arranged. The meeting host will advise directions to the office depending on the visitor’s mode of transport and specific needs.
Suitable toilet facilities are available in the Ground and 1st floor offices and are easily accessible by wheelchair users.
Hearing Aid Users
The meeting room is fitted with a hearing induction loop.
Registered Assistance Dogs
Registered Assistance Dogs will be permitted in the office by prior arrangement with the visitor’s host.
Arts Council of Wales recognise that the safety and welfare of visitors is paramount and our emergency evacuation procedures require staff who are hosting meetings to be responsible for the safe evacuation of their guests. In order to achieve this objective it is necessary for the meeting host to assess any special needs of guests and to agree a suitable Emergency Evacuation Plan for individuals.
