Tom Rowland: Curator
Tom Rowland has recently said -
"Tim Davies throws up unique opportunities to solve problems, which I have always liked. I am also captivated by the way an idea is developed. How he cuts himself free and allows his work to manifest itself through action in time and how the notion of something is intuitively prepared and directed towards us again, for a second look."
Tom Rowland has overseen art installations and exhibitions at the highest level. He spent nine years at the Saatchi Gallery where he was director. He later, in 2005, offered Tim Davies his first solo show in London at V22 Ashwinstreet during a two-year directorship there. He has assembled an experienced team for Wales at the 54th Venice Biennale.
Nia Roberts, who is co-ordinating the project, was Project Manager for the Wales exhibition at Venice in 05 and 07, Ann Jones, Curator of Exhibitions, Southbank Centre, London is acting as a consultant for the project and Mererid Velios has developed the Education and Public Engagement element of the project.
