Get Creative Weekend: 7 – 9 April 2017
A weekend to try something, make something - Get Creative!
On 7-9 April 2017 BBC Cymru Wales, Arts Council of Wales, Voluntary Arts Wales and What Next? are teaming up for a bumper weekend to celebrate the nation’s creativity – and we’re inviting you to join in.
We’re shining a light on Wales as a place where we take part in arts and culture and love to get creative.
Tell us about your arts events
We’re asking arts organisations, community groups and societies of all shapes and sizes to invite others to take part in a creative experience for free. It could involve making music, dance, film or photography; creating with words, paint or digitally or just generally getting crafty!
Whether it’s your usual activity or something specially planned, let us know what you’re up to on the Get Creative website - your event will appear on an online map so that the public can see what’s on and where.
Free Training Sessions
If you register your event online, BBC Wales can offer free training sessions for you and your team on getting the most out of your social media, writing a press release and promoting your event. But you must register before February 22 for Bangor and March 1 for Cardiff. (Spaces are limited, but booking information will be provided once you’ve registered your event).
Training Session Dates
- BBC Bangor – February 27, 2017 11.00-12.30
- BBC Llandaf – March 1st, 2017 1000-1130 + 1400-1530
Go to the Get Creative website and tell us about your event.
