Richard Turner

Richie has worked in a variety of roles in the arts, higher education and the public sector specialising in innovation, business development and evaluation.

He has recently joined the University of South Wales to establish the first business startup incubator at their creative industries campus in Cardiff. He is also a lecturer for the MA Arts Management at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, an external assessor for BBC Children In Need, and undertakes numerous freelance roles - currently fundraising for Wales PEN Cymru.

His previous roles include: Evaluation Adviser: Operasonic; Projects Director: Enterprise & Innovation and Project Manager Digital Innovation for Artis Community; Innovation Associate for Monmouthshire County Council; Associate of The Satori Lab (public sector innovation) and Native HQ (social media development); Deputy Director of the Global Innovation Academy at the University of Wales; the first Wales Manager for Nesta and various senior roles at the Arts Council of Wales. He was also Director of Cardiff and District Multicultural Arts (CADMAD) and co-founded the award winning Nofit State Circus.
