Andrew Miller

Member of Arts Council of Wales.

Andrew Miller's experience spans the UK's cultural industries. He began his career in broadcasting in the 1980s as the first disabled presenter of mainstream British television and went on to become a producer and director of arts & music documentaries. Andrew then joined Arts Council England, becoming Head of Performing Arts in the Midlands region. Later, as the first Head of Creative Programming at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, he established a new and highly successful city centre arts complex in Cardiff promoting classical music, opera and theatre. Andrew also created and was Executive Producer of the Russia'17 Season in Wales, a nationwide cultural festival marking the centenary of the Russian Revolution.

In 2017, Andrew was Executive Associate at Royal & Derngate Theatres Northampton, Errol Flynn Filmhouse and The Core at Corby Cube, a role created for him as one of Arts Council England’s first cohort of Changemakers. Andrew is a non-executive director of UK digital arts agency The Space and uniquely is a National Council Member of both Arts Council England and The Arts Council of Wales. In 2018 Andrew was appointed by the Secretary of State for Work & Pensions to be the Government's Arts & Culture Sector Champion - a UK wide role to improve training, access & employment opportunities for disabled people.
