Since 2016, Flying Atoms (aerial dance and science production) has toured to 24 schools, venues and festivals to an audience of 3,000 children and their families. This Autumn, the professors are heading back out on tour to six venues in Wales. We are looking for a new member of the team to act as production assistant on the road. It’s an exciting and varied role so we’ll be recruiting someone with the right skills who could need additional training to take up the opportunity. Tasks include: - Setting up before the show - Operating music and projection during the performance - Supporting the performers on stage during the show with rigging and props - Co-facilitating post-show workshops alongside the performers - Supporting post-show ‘meet & greets’ and collecting feedback - Driving the van to and from venues The role would suit someone who: - Can communicate in both Welsh & English - Has a good level of physical fitness - Is happy to appear on stage - Is willing to learn about technical theatre and rigging for aerial dance - Can interact positively with other professionals and audiences - Can be part of a small, hard working team - Has a full driving license Dates Rehearsals: week beginning 3rd September (3 days) Performance dates: 12th, 14th, 15th, 19th, 22nd October, 5th October, 9th & 10th November (there are additional days around the performance for travel, set up and get out tbc) Fee £100 per day Plus travel and accommodation when on tour
