Arts Council Chair, Phil George honoured by Cardiff University

A football manager, an equality campaigner, a managing director for a world-leading jet engine provider and the founder of MoneySavingExpert.com are among those who will be honoured by Cardiff University at its annual degree ceremonies next week (17 - 21 July 2017). 17 Jul 2017

Arts Council Chair, Phil George honoured by Cardiff University

Professional footballer and Wales Manager Chris Coleman will join disabled businesswoman and equality campaigner Rosaleen Moriarty-Simmonds OBE, Managing Director of GE Aviation Wales La-Chun Lindsay, and founder/Chair of MoneySavingExpert.com Martin Lewis OBE to receive the honours, which are awarded to individuals who achieved outstanding recognition in their field.

Eleven other eminent figures from fields including educational outreach, physiotherapy, counter terrorism and journalism will receive Honorary Fellowships. These include Dr Martin Faulkes; Cerys Furlong; Dr Phil George; The Rev Roy Jenkins; Philip J. Jennings; Sir Derek Jones KCB; Dr Alan J Lewis; Gary Younge; Dr Drew Nelson OBE; Dr Bhanu Ramaswamy OBE; and Rob Wainwright
